MOBILITY ANALYSIS AT MACRO LEVEL: PUBLIC/PRIVATE URBAN TRANSPORT

PROJECT:

Feasibility verification of public transport in the city of Brescia

CLIENT:

Azienda Servizi Municipalizzati (ASM) Brescia – Transport Dept. - Italia

DESCRIPTION:

Analysis of the mobility demand inside the city and in the suburbs of Brescia (170.000 inhabitants resident at 2005). Alternative scenarios of transport offer, with the introduction of more new transport lines (underground, light transport system, trolley, short transport support lines, etc.). Verification of the effect on the different transport demand type (transfer demand, generated demand, inverted demand from private traffic); analysis of the passenger volumes on the road network before and after the act; transport cost evaluation; comparison of the scenarios and efficient evaluation.

MOBILIY ANALYSIS AT MICRO LEVEL: CROSSING POINTS / EVACUATION WAYS / ETC.

DESCRIPTION:

The software application permits to evaluate the simulation of the users behaviour in micro situations.

The following figures show two examples of vehicular analysis at a roads crossing and of people mobility in a public indoor sporting structure (evacuation simulation). The inputs of simulations require suitable investigation and survey in order to output a reliable condition.
